The maternal and neonatal mortality rate in  the Dominican Republic is among the highest in the region.  We are collaborating with different professionals on the island and other non-profits to find viable solutions.  Studies have shown that midwifery and doula care can contribute to better maternal and neonatal outcomes.  One of the goals of Parto Humanizado is to help promote these services for familes on the island.  Read more on our page!
