As a midwife, I offer prenatal care, labor and delivery support, postpartum care for both the mother and baby, breastfeeding support, and more.

I am a certified midwife with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a Master's degree in Midwifery. I am licensed by the Florida Board of Nursing and AMCB

I believe that childbirth is a natural process and that women have the right to make informed decisions about their care. It is not a provider's job to  have authority over a woman's birth process. Informed consent is applicable in every case and I am a strong advocate for informed consent and decisions.  I strive to provide personalized, evidence-based care that empowers women and their families.

Studies have shown that in mothers who have a low risk pregnancy, there is no significant difference in outcomes of home birth vs hospital birth.  There are specific populations of women today who may be safer birthing at home.

Midwives are trained in the management of common emergencies that can occur during a birth.  We are experts in physiological, undisturbed birth with a trained eye for when thing are not normal or physiological.  Midwives carry the medications, equipment and knowledge to manage most emergencies; we are trained to intervene and transfer when necessary.
